BIOGRAPHY

Huák (alias Julien Blet Carcy) is a self-taught artist based in Paris.

Before founding his drawing studio in 2019 he studied fashion design, followed by Art history.

Julien’s pseudonym is inspired by Greek mythology : Hyacinthe (Huákinthos in ancient Greek), a young man of great beauty, loved by both Apollo and Zephyr, abruptly passing away as a result of Zephyr’s crime passionel.

From Hyacinthe's blood is born a flower bearing his name.

Huák is inspired by the works of influential modernists : Jean Cocteau and Henri Matisse among them. His minimalist and abstract artistic approach continues to evolve after a first, and sold-out exhibition in Paris in 2020.
